Haircut

Sat Jan 5, 2008, 4:04 PM
  • Mood: Optimism
Well, I did it--got my hair all chopped off.

I figure, it's a new stage in my life, so why not get a new haircut? After all, the only reason I kept it so long was because Azundo liked it that way, so why keep it long now?

It's very much a relief, actually. I don't have to do anything for anyone but myself, and I like it that way.

Oh wow, your rat looks so much like my old rat, except...actuallly your rat doesn't look like my rat at all. My rat's markings were a darker black and kept to the stripe (no blotches), plus her nose was thinner and ears smaller.

Wow, that was a pointless comment.

aww, that's okay, it's good to know that there are other rat lovers out there! Lots of people go "ewww, a RAT??" before they actually meet her and realize what a sweetheart she is.

Exactly! I can understand disliking sewer rats or something, but that shouldn't extend to fancy rats. They're a completely different subspecies.

That's like hating dogs because you hate wolves. (Not that I'd support hating wolves, but I can /understand/ hating wolves.)

Exactly, they're so different. But people just don't like the tail. I think they'd be fine if the tail were different. I mean, they don't mind gerbils, or hamsters, so rats should be fine.

Some people say that they carry diseases, but that's not true--fleas do, so that's a completely silly argument

**sorry for the late reply, school is being a bitch**

I know. It's...strange. o.0

Fancy rats are descended from brown rats, and it's black rats that carried the Black Death. ANYWAY, humans carry diseases, so do dogs and cats, so, as you say...ridiculous argument. And fancy rats have been separate from wild rats from about four hundred years.
